Each year the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), provides awards to "faculty members and collaborating teams at CIDA-accredited interior design programs, recognizing outstanding practices that advance the cause of excellence in interior design education (Waddoups, R., Interior Design Magazine, February 2017). In 2016, I received one of these awards along with Moira Gannon Denson from Marymount University. Our submission titled, "Universal Design-athons at Marymount University and Mount Ida College" showcased our inclusion of these remarkable programs that we designed and hosted at the colleges in which we teach.
